After over a year of virtual school, we had our first social where students created posters for their representative orchestras, instrument, and grade levels! We played classic SLORK games like Lifeboat and later watched a movie together (Luca)!

Today, the SLORK Student Leadership Team attended a leadership workshop along with Taylor and Tompkins Fine Arts leaders with Scott Lang teaching them valuable leadership skills! Thank you @scottlangleadership for coming out and teaching us today!

Our officers ran a booth at Fish Camp, welcoming new students into our school! We introduced them to our orchestra program and all the fun an orchestra student would have.

Our last, and for many students, first in-person concert, was a huge success! The PAC was packed with a socially distanced audience that listened to the performance that musically ended our Orchestra year! We also saw the world premiere of some student compositions! On March 1st, our Divertimento and Symphony Orchestra were evaluated at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation on our campus. Both groups earned a “Sweepstakes” trophy, which means that each of the three judges gave them a Superior rating (I) for their performance and sight-reading. The Seven Lakes Orchestras had their annual Spring Trip this year to Orlando, Florida, where they enjoyed themselves at both Universal Studios and Disney World. Furthermore, students and directors participated in a workshop hosted by the Disney Performing Arts Organization during their trip. The trip took place between March 5th to March 9th
